The Everything Weekend app · Last updated 24 September 2026

The short version

This app does not collect personal information about you. There is no account, no profile, no sign-up, and nothing that tracks what you do in it. You enter a shared access code to open it, and that is all. The one exception is a random installation identifier created by the software the app is built with, described under “The app framework” below.

Who is responsible

Everything Network is the data controller for this app. You can reach us at info@everythingnetwork.co.

What the app stores on your device

When you enter the correct access code, the app saves a note on your own phone that this device is unlocked, so you don't have to type the code every time. It stores a pass issued when the code was accepted, never the code itself.

It also keeps a copy of the programme, information and guest list on your phone so the app still works when you have no signal.

Both live only in your browser's storage on that device. The pass is sent only to this app's own server, to load the event content, and you can remove them at any time using “Lock the app” in the menu, or by clearing your browser data.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or photos. We do not record which pages you open, how long you spend in the app, or anything else about how you use it. There is no analytics, no advertising and no advertising identifier.

The app framework

The app is built and packaged by Base44, and the version you install from the App Store or Google Play includes Google's standard Firebase libraries, as almost every mobile app of this kind does. When the app first runs, those libraries create a random installation identifier and send it to Google. It identifies the copy of the app on your device, not you: it is not your name, your phone number or your advertising ID, we cannot connect it to any person, and it is replaced if you delete and reinstall the app.

It exists so the app can run reliably and receive any notices the event organisers send through the app. It is not used for advertising or for measuring how you use the app. Google processes it under its own terms as the provider of those libraries.

The guest list

The app shows a list of people attending the weekend. Everything Network compiles this from the booking information of people who registered for the event, and publishes only names, roles and organisations, along with a photo and short biography where the person has supplied one. Email addresses and phone numbers are never shown, and there is no way to contact anyone through the app.

The lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in helping guests know who else is at an event they have chosen to attend. If you would prefer not to appear, tell us and we will remove you — write to info@everythingnetwork.co or speak to any member of the team.

The feedback form

After the weekend we invite you to fill in a short feedback form. It is optional, and so is every question in it apart from an overall rating. Your answers go only to the Everything Network team and are used to improve future events. We do not record who sent a response unless you choose to add your name, and we only quote comments, anonymously, where you have ticked the box to say we may. Responses are kept for up to two years so we can compare one year with the next, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Where the app runs

The app is hosted on Base44, which acts as our data processor and stores the event content described above. Standard server logs may be kept by that hosting provider for security and reliability. Base44 processes that content only on our instructions, to run the app for us, under data protection terms that require it to protect the content to the same standard set out in this policy. No other third party has access to it, and nothing is passed to advertisers or analytics providers.

So that nobody can sit and guess the access code, the server counts recent wrong answers coming from each network. It stores a scrambled fingerprint of the network address rather than the address itself, keeps it for about fifteen minutes, and then deletes it. Nothing identifying you is attached to it, and a correct code clears the count immediately.

How long we keep things

Event content, including the guest list, is deleted within three months of the event ending. Anything stored on your own phone is removed as soon as you lock the app or clear your browser data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. Write to info@everythingnetwork.co and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This app is intended for adults attending The Everything Weekend. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top.
